MISSED BIRD FEE
After years of dozens of missed turkeys, mainly due to guns that were never patterned or practiced with, and rushed shots we introduced a 500 dollar missed/wounded bird fee.
Turkeys are not an expendable resource and we intend to treat them that way. We understand, hunting is hunting, and stuff happens. Your guide will NEVER ask you to take a shot you are uncomfortable with, we are very reasonable. However, we work incredibly hard to put a bird in front of you. Emptying your gun into the air/dirt with a bird standing still 20 yards away is unacceptable, and creates more expenses and work for your guide.
